What is a Comprehensive Home Assessment? The Comprehensive Home Assessment or energy audit is an analysis used by BPI Accredited organizations like Comfort Home Improvement to determine the state of your home’s energy efficiency and safety. We will determine the cause of any problems you may be experiencing such as heat loss, cold air loss, cold rooms, ice dams, damp basements, and moisture on windows to help you gauge your home's energy efficiency and durability. The focus is your home’s heat envelope, or the enclosedareaof your house in which the temperature is regulated. Following the inspection, Comfort will recommend improvements. These may include measures such as: air-sealing and duct-sealing, insulation, installation of energy efficient lighting, new HVAC equipment or windows. The best solution for most homes often includes a combination of several improvements. Comfort’s specialists will test before and after the job is completed so that you can see how our products improve your home first hand.
